MLS Exceptionalism

Robbie Rogers and Emmanual Ekpo have left for thier respective Olympic camps as expected. Rogers misses tonight’s All-Star game and both Ekpo and Rogers miss the game in Colorado. I thought this was the case with all of the MLS Olympians, but Ives Galarcep notes that Maurice Adu is still in town for the All-Star festivities:

I have to wonder why Toronto is able to keep a key cog on their team while the rest of MLS has released their players.
