Just Fine, Thanks
Kyle McCarthy of Goal.com has some concern for Crew fans and the team.
Can the inherently self-loathing and skeptical Columbus fanbase handle being prohibitive favorites to win the club’s first ever MLS Cup? More importantly, how well will their team handle the monumental expectations?
I do think Crew fans have a right to be skeptical. Have you seen the last 4 years. Moreso, quite a few Crew fans remember the failures of the late 90s. We do like to self-immolate, figuratively speaking. As far as the second point, how will the team handle it? I would imagine like they have handled everything else this year by pushing past the distractions and expectations and get the job done. I would not worry about the team, Mr McCarthy.
