Week 10 – Power Rankings
– Chicago – A week off, but still the class of the league.
– New England – Looked very bad for 60 minutes against DC and then found a way to come back for the tie.
– Toronto FC – They are tough at home on the turf and in front of that crowd. It was fortunate that they played LA without Beckham and Donovan.
– Colorado – This team is currently getting the results, but I feel a Clavijo collapse is coming.
– Columbus – Have not scored in three games and have 1 point to show for it. This team could still use a forward.
– Chivas – This is the team I expected to see at the begriming of the year. They are talented and getting healthier. I would not be surprised to see them rise to the top of the West.
– Houston – Fought for a draw against Dallas and edged a collapsing Red Bulls team. I expect a little more from this team, but I think they will make the playoffs.
– Los Angeles – They are a two man team. It is a good thing that England missed Euro2008.
– New York – This team is falling apart. An injured Angel has hurt them. Reyna is injured again and Altidore is heading overseas. Osorio needs to earn his money now.
– Kansas City – When they have played, the results have not been great. They have a stern test this week going to Salt Lake.
- DC United – Played a very good 60 minutes against New England, but came out with a tie. Starting to run out of time to turn the season around.
– Real Salt Lake – Undefeated at home and a wreck on the road. If they can put some results together on the road, they can be in the playoff picture.
– FC Dallas – A hard luck tie and rough loss makes for a bad week, but certainly not out of it in the weak West.
– San Jose – I have a hard time seeing this as a playoff team, but they too are out west. If they can surprise a sliding Crew team, then I will rethink this team.
