Game 20 – Grades
Hesmer – 7: He has settled into a run of good form. He handled every shot that came his way. He is consistently distributing well and his long outlet led to the first goal.
Hejduk – 7: Stayed back more to handle Cooper, but was very effective in handling the big striker.
O’Rourke – 7: He kept up with Cunningham as well as he could and kept his fouls to a minimum. Not a bad game overall.
Marshall – 8: Strong game from Chad. His marking was top notch and his goal line save was great.
Padula – 6: His defending was a little rusty and he did not get forward too often, but he certainly will solidify the left back position for the playoff run and beyond.
Gaven – 6: One step back as he looked slow on the wings and his positioning was problematic. He did look a little better when he pinched in centrally, but he will find himself on the bench if he doesn’t step up.
Evans – 7: There are two Brads, in the midfield, without the ball he looks a little lost, with the ball moving forward he makes an imprint on the game. Once off the ball Brad improves, he will be a solid starter.
Carroll – 7: The goal was excellent and he settled the central midfield in the second half. The quiet guy makes some noise.
Noonan – 6: Solid performance. He will work well with Schelotto and is already getting into dangerous positions. He will be a heck of a pickup.
Schelotto – 8: His influence went beyond his two assists. He was dangerous on his free kicks and he got into scoring position several times.
Moreno – 7: No goals, but I am impressed with how he is able to make a difference in a match. He had two crosses that led to scoring chances. He seems to get better as the game goes on.
Rogers – 6: The speed injection helped, but this was always going to be a tough game for him coming back from China
Zayner – 7: He looks good on his tackles and his marking is solid. He is going to add depth to the back line.
Miglioranzi – NR: Limited minutes to make a limited impression
Crew Man of the Match – Schelotto – He makes things happen on the offensive end even when he is not scoring.
