Game 24: Grades
Hesmer – 6: Solid overall, but had issues with balls in the air. He might handled the goal a little better too.
Hejduk – 7: A good performance as he shut down Toronto wing, but he did give up on a play in the first half. It was a little troubling.
O’Rourke – 6: He had a few mistakes, including his gaffe early in the second half when Guevara was able to dispossess him. On the plus side, he was able to handle Ruiz well.
Marshall – 7: He was rock solid in the back as Barrett, Ruiz, and Dichio were largely ineffective.
Padula – 6: His defense was solid, but his passing was woeful on the turf.
Gaven – 7: Pressed the attack as one of the bright spots in the second half.
Miglioranzi – 5: His touches were heavy and did not connect on his passes. He was a step down from Evans or Ekpo.
Carroll – 7: He improved in the second half. He moved up a little to povide more support for the offense.
Rogers – 6: He never had a chance to use his speed. Wynne did well to neutralize him.
Noonan – 7: I am split on his performance. He looked lost at times, but he had a couple moments of brilliance, including his goal.
Moreno – 6: Suffered from a lack of service and the style of the game. His PK attempt was Tony Sannehesque. Not the best day for Moreno.
Ekpo – 7: He was active in central midfield. He made several good passes and showed good skill on the ball.
Garey – 6: Was unable to get into the game and his miss was pretty bad.
Crew Man of the Match – Marshall – Spearheaded a solid defensive effort.
